SRINAGAR: A delegation of women entrepreneurs from the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) on Wednesday met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and discussed Jammu and Kashmir’s participation in the 20th Punjab International Trade Expo (PITEX)-2026, scheduled to be held in Amritsar from December 3 to 7.
The delegation, led by Himani Arora, Chairperson of the Regional Fashion Tex Tech Forum, PHDCCI, proposed a dedicated “Jammu Kashmir Day” at the trade expo to showcase the Union Territory’s business, investment, export, handicraft, tourism and cultural potential.
According to an official communiqué, the proposed event would include a business and investment session, industry and buyer-seller interactions, tourism and investment presentations, live handicraft demonstrations, a food showcase and cultural performances.
Meanwhile, a public delegation led by Bhaderwah MLA Daleep Singh Parihar also called on the Lieutenant Governor and raised various development-related issues concerning the Bhaderwah constituency.
