Srinagar: The Government of India on Friday appointed Mandeep K. Bhandari as Chairperson of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
A 2001-batch IAS officer, Bhandari is currently serving as Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to officials, he has held several key administrative positions during his career in the Union Territory.
Bhandari’s appointment to head the country’s premier school education board was announced by the Government of India on Friday.
