SRINAGAR: J&K Bank has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri, to provide banking and digital financial services to the university’s staff and students.
The agreement was signed in the presence of BGSBU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Jawaid Iqbal and Registrar Ravi Kumar Sihag (IAS), according to an official statement.
Among those present at the signing ceremony were J&K Bank Deputy General Manager and Zonal Head Rajouri Rajeev Kumar Digra, Assistant General Manager and Cluster Head Rajouri Ashish Jamwal, BGSBU Controller of Planning and Administration Qamar Rehman, and Branch Head BGSBU Ashok Rotra.
Under the agreement, the bank will provide banking support and facilitate access to digital banking solutions and other financial services for the university community.
Officials said the partnership is aimed at improving service delivery and expanding the outreach of banking services within the university.
BGSBU has around 355 permanent employees and nearly 3,000 students.
The MoU formalises the ongoing association between the bank and the university and is intended to strengthen access to banking facilities and financial services for its staff and students.
