Srinagar: The J&K Police Cycle Race-2026, scheduled to be held on September 27 in Srinagar, has been postponed and the traffic restrictions announced for the event have been withdrawn.
Officials said new dates for the race will be announced separately.
The event was scheduled to take place on Sunday along the Boulevard Road stretch in Srinagar.
Earlier, Srinagar Traffic Police had issued an advisory stating that Boulevard Road from Lalit Ghat to Harwan via Shalimar and from Lalit Ghat to Pandach Crossing via Zakoora would remain closed to general traffic from 6 am to 9 am on September 27 to facilitate the race.
With the postponement of the event, the proposed traffic restrictions will no longer be in effect, officials said.
