SRINAGAR, Sept 23: The Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council (JKSC) on Wednesday conducted Union Territory-level trials for the sub-junior boys’ football team at the TRC Synthetic Football Turf in Srinagar to select the J&K squad for the National Football Championship 2026.
Young footballers from across Jammu and Kashmir participated in the trials, where an expert selection panel assessed players on technical skills, game awareness and overall fitness.
The assessment was conducted with support from a physiotherapy team. JKSC Secretary Tazayun Mukhtar Kawos was also present during the trials.
The Sports Council said the selection process was being conducted on merit and aimed at identifying and developing young football talent from across the Union Territory.
