SRINAGAR: Commissioner Secretary, Cooperative Department, Yasha Mudgal on Monday reviewed the progress of the Centrally Sponsored Project for Computerisation of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) in Jammu and Kashmir and directed stakeholders to complete the remaining deliverables within stipulated timelines.
Chairing the 12th meeting of the Union Territory Level Implementation and Monitoring Committee (UTLIMC), Mudgal assessed the status of project implementation across the Union Territory.
The meeting was attended by Registrar Cooperative Societies J&K, Deputy General Manager NABARD, Managing Director J&K State Cooperative Training Board, representatives of the system integrator and managing directors of District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCBs).
During the meeting, the system integrator presented a detailed progress report on the computerisation project, outlining implementation status, ongoing activities and areas requiring attention for timely completion.
Reviewing the progress, Mudgal directed the system integrator to maintain implementation momentum and adhere strictly to the approved schedule to avoid delays.
She said the objective of the project should extend beyond installation of software and hardware and focus on effective adoption of the digital system by PACS to improve operational efficiency, transparency and service delivery.
The Commissioner Secretary emphasised close coordination among the Cooperative Department, Registrar Cooperative Societies, NABARD, DCCBs, the system integrator and other stakeholders to address field-level issues and ensure smooth implementation.
She also stressed proper monitoring and verification of progress against approved milestones, directing that completed activities be supported by appropriate records and documentation to accurately reflect implementation status.
Mudgal called upon all stakeholders to sustain the current pace of work and ensure timely completion and verification of the remaining targets, stating that coordinated and result-oriented efforts are essential for successful implementation of the PACS computerisation project across Jammu and Kashmir.
