Bear mauls two siblings in Anantnag

ANANTNAG: Two siblings were injured after being attacked by a wild bear at Kralmad in the Dooru area of Anantnag district, officials said.

An official told Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the siblings were attacked by a wild bear in Dooru, following which locals shifted them to SDH Dooru for treatment.

He said they were later shifted to GMC Anantnag for specialised care. The injured were identified as Abid Nazir (15) and his sister Sehraish Nazir (16), both residents of Kralmad.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and started an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the attack. (KNO)
