Reviewing the party’s organisational activities in the area, Shah urged workers to maintain close contact with the public, regularly visit their respective areas and raise genuine grievances before the concerned authorities. He said the strength of the National Conference lies in its dedicated cadre and strong grassroots network.

He also emphasised greater coordination among party workers and called for intensified public outreach across Wailoo block.

During the programme, several workers associated with the Apni Party joined the National Conference. Welcoming the new entrants, Shah assured them of full support, while the joining members expressed faith in the leadership and policies of the party.

Later, the MLA attended the final of the Hazrat Lateef-ud-Din (RA) Cricket Tournament at Rawathpora village. The tournament witnessed participation of 32 teams, with Mahyen defeating Rawathpora in the final.

Shah lauded the organisers for promoting sports among youth and encouraged young people to actively participate in constructive activities. He also presented a cricket kit and mat to the Rawathpora team in recognition of their participation and sportsmanship.

Highlighting the role of sports in youth development, Shah said sporting activities help keep young people physically fit, disciplined and away from negative influences, and assured continued support for sports initiatives across the Gulmarg constituency.
