Srinagar: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has directed all Chief Education Officers (CEOs) in the Valley to furnish details of employees who pursued higher studies through regular mode during service without obtaining prior permission from the competent authority and subsequently failed to submit their cases under the prescribed One-Time Exemption mechanism.
According to an official communication, the Directorate has sought information regarding employees whose cases fall under the ambit of Government Order No. 264-JK(Edu) of 2025 but who did not avail themselves of the opportunity to submit exemption files despite earlier instructions.
The CEOs have been asked to provide particulars including the names and designations of such employees, their present place of posting, details of qualifications acquired, date of completion of the course and reasons for not submitting their cases within the stipulated timeframe.
The Directorate has instructed that the required information be furnished within seven days.
The move follows the issuance of Government Order No. 264-JK(Edu) of 2025 in April and a subsequent communication by DSEK inviting eligible employees to submit their cases under the One-Time Exemption provision.
