GANDERBAL: The District Administration Ganderbal on Wednesday felicitated officers and officials involved in arrangements for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2026, presenting them appreciation certificates for their services during the pilgrimage.
Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Jatin Kishore presented the certificates to personnel from various departments and agencies, including Police, Army, Beacon, Public Health Engineering (PHE), Roads and Buildings (R&B), Power Development Department (PDD), Rural Development Department (RDD), Information Department and other line departments.
The felicitation recognised the roles played by the different agencies in managing services and arrangements associated with the yatra in the district.
Addressing the gathering, Kishore said coordination among the departments had been central to managing the yatra-related arrangements. He said the responsibilities involved security, road connectivity, parking, water supply, electricity, sanitation, information dissemination, logistics and other essential services.
The Deputy Commissioner also appreciated the work of officers, officials and field-level personnel deployed for the arrangements and stressed the importance of maintaining coordination and professional standards in future assignments.
