SRINAGAR: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo on Wednesday reviewed the progress of AgriStack implementation, Farmer ID generation and the Digital Crop Survey across the district, directing revenue officers to expedite the enrolment of eligible farmers within a defined timeline.
The review meeting, held at the Conference Hall of the DC Office, was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioners Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz and Aadil Fareed, SDM West Irfan Bahadur, SDM East Zubair Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Umar Gulzar, all Tehsildars, District Manager CSC and other concerned officials.
Labroo took a tehsil-wise assessment of farmer enrolment, the generation of Farmer IDs and the status of the ongoing Digital Crop Survey. He directed the concerned revenue officers to accord priority to enrolling eligible beneficiary farmers and ensure that no eligible farmer is left out.
Tehsildars were asked to closely monitor the exercise in their respective jurisdictions and complete the collection and enrolment of farmer-related data within the stipulated timelines. The DC also stressed the need for accuracy and due diligence in data collection to ensure reliability of the database.
He called for close coordination among the Revenue and Agriculture departments and Common Service Centre (CSC) functionaries involved in the enrolment and digital survey process.
The meeting also reviewed other revenue-related initiatives, including digitisation of revenue records, online and offline migrant grievances and other citizen-centric revenue services.
Labroo directed the concerned officers to maintain regular monitoring of these initiatives and ensure timely and transparent delivery of revenue and farmer-related services across the district.
