14 JKAS officers inducted into IAS

SRINAGAR: Fourteen officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) have been inducted into the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) under the AGMUT cadre through the promotion quota.

According to a notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the President has approved the select lists for the years 2019 and 2020, news agency KNO reported.

The 2019 select list comprises Babila Rakwal, Commissioner Secretary, Science and Technology Department; Shabnam Shah Kamili, Commissioner Secretary, Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Department; Rachna Sharma, Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department; Leena Padha, Mission Director, Skill Development Mission; Rajinder Singh Tara, Secretary, Forest, Ecology and Environment Department; Tariq Hussain Ganai, Managing Director, Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation; Munir-ul-Islam, Secretary, Information Department; Sajad Hussain Ganai, Mission Director, Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS); Anoo Malhotra, Director General, Rural Sanitation; and Nitu Gupta, Secretary, Agriculture Production Department.

The notification further stated that four officers were inducted against vacancies of 2020. They include Pradiman Krishan Bhat, Commissioner, State Taxes; Bhawani Rakwal, Project Director, Samagra Shiksha; Smitha Sethi, Managing Director, Jammu and Kashmir Housing Board; and Anuradha Gupta, Director General, Youth Services and Sports.

The inducted officers will join the AGMUT cadre of the Indian Administrative Service under the promotion quota.
