Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday effected a major reshuffle in the finance department, ordering the transfer and posting of over a dozen senior officers with immediate effect.

According to a government order issued by Financial Commissioner (ACS), Finance Department, Shailendra Kumar, the move is aimed at administrative efficiency and comes in continuation of an earlier order issued on August 4.

Among the key changes, Rajesh Chander Kotwal, who was serving as Director Accounts and Treasuries, Jammu, has been moved as Director Finance, School Education Department. He replaces Kulbushan Kumar, who has been shifted to the ARI & Trainings Department and will also hold additional charge of the Tribal Affairs Department.

Anil Kumar Dogra has been appointed as the new Director Accounts & Treasuries, Jammu, while Santosh Kumari has been transferred from JK Power Development Corporation to the Labour & Employment Department.

Several officers promoted to the rank of Director Finance have also been given new assignments. Shahid Majeed Kakroo has been posted as Director Finance, Jal Shakti Department, while Manav Gupta takes over as Director Finance at JK Power Development Corporation.

Amit Mahajan has been posted as Director Finance, Cooperative Department, and Premlata Patial has been appointed Director Finance at JK Power Corporation Limited (JKPCL).

Harjeet Kour, another promotee officer, has been directed to await further orders of adjustment within the Directorate General of Accounts & Treasuries. Rashim Deepika, who was holding additional charge of the Cooperative Department, has been relieved of that responsibility and will continue in the Tourism Department for now.

The order also notes that Naila Zahoor has been posted as Director Finance, Youth Services and Sports Department, relieving Jasvinder Singh of the additional charge.
