SRINAGAR: Several houses were damaged in a massive fire incident in the Watal Kadal area of the summer capital on Wednesday, officials said.
The blaze engulfed at least seven houses in the congested locality, they said.
Fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was brought under control.
Seven houses were directly involved in the fire and suffered damage, while two houses received minor damage due to heat, smoke and water.
The cause of the fire is being ascertained, the officials said.
