Bandipora: District Bandipora emerged champions of the Inter-District Provincial-Level Under-14 Girls Kabaddi Competition, defeating District Anantnag in the final at Higher Secondary School Nadihal on Tuesday.
Organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (YSS), the tournament brought together young athletes from various districts and provided them an opportunity to compete at the provincial level.
Bandipora secured the title after a closely contested final, while Anantnag finished as runners-up.
The closing ceremony was attended by District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Bandipora, Ab Majeed Rather, along with departmental officials and field staff.
Speaking on the occasion, Rather congratulated the winning team and appreciated the performance of the runners-up. He also encouraged participants to continue training and use the experience gained during the competition to further develop their sporting skills.
The Department of Youth Services and Sports congratulated the winners, runners-up and all participating athletes for their performance and commitment to the sport.
