Kupwara: Chief Justice of the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court, Justice Sanjiv Kumar, on Sunday visited the Sharda Temple at Teetwal in Karnah sector of Kupwara district.
Accompanied by his family, the Chief Justice offered prayers at the temple, which was inaugurated in March 2023. Registrar General of the High Court M.K. Sharma, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Karnah Mohammad Raiyaz and other officials were also present during the visit.
Justice Kumar was received at the temple by Save Sharda Committee representatives, including coordinator Ajaz Khan and manager Mahaveer Thussu, along with priests Kamal and Ritik Raina.
During the visit, he appreciated the efforts of the Save Sharda Committee Kashmir in rebuilding the temple at the site where it existed before Partition. He also visited the Sikh gurdwara located within the temple complex.
