Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma on Monday said the party is committed to strengthening its grassroots presence in Kashmir and emerging as a strong voice of the people.

Chairing an organisational meeting in Srinagar, attended by Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, BJP vice-president Shehnaz Ganai and other senior leaders, Sat Sharma reviewed party activities and discussed strategies to strengthen the organisation across the Valley.

He said the BJP is a cadre-based party guided by the principles of “Nation First, Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas,” and stressed the need to further strengthen the organisation from booth and Shakti Kendra levels upwards.

“Our organisation must remain continuously connected with the people. Every booth, every Shakti Kendra and every Mandal must become an effective centre of public service and communication,” Sharma said, adding that people of Jammu and Kashmir are looking towards the BJP for development, peace, stability and corruption-free governance.

He said BJP workers must ensure that the benefits of development and welfare initiatives launched under Prime Minister Narendra Modi reach every deserving family.

Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma said the party would continue to raise public issues and remain accessible to the people. “The voice of the people will remain our priority, and genuine concerns must be effectively highlighted and pursued,” he said.

Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma emphasised organisational discipline, unity and public service, urging party workers to take the message of development and welfare schemes to every household.
