Baramulla: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Baramulla, on Friday continued its inter-zonal district-level competitions and selection trials across various disciplines, with students from different educational zones participating.
The Inter-Zonal District-Level Under-17 Boys Kabaddi Competition began at the Indoor Stadium, Khawaja Bagh, where 13 educational zone teams are competing.
The Inter-Zonal District-Level Badminton Competition for girls also commenced at the Bipin Rawat Indoor Stadium. Competitions in the Under-14 category were held on the opening day, with around 15 educational zone teams taking part.
Meanwhile, selection trials for the Under-14 Girls Table Tennis team were conducted at the Indoor Stadium, Khawaja Bagh. More than 20 players participated in the trials.
Officials of the department interacted with the participants and encouraged them to maintain sportsmanship and make full use of opportunities to develop their sporting skills.
