Special focus was placed on Hazratbal Shrine, where more than one lakh devotees are expected to participate in congregational and night prayers. The Divisional Commissioner directed all concerned departments to ensure that arrangements remain fully functional throughout the occasion.

The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) was asked to ensure uninterrupted power supply at Hazratbal, backed by generator sets. The Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department was directed to provide adequate drinking water facilities and keep water tankers on standby.

To facilitate movement of devotees, Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL), Srinagar Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) and the Regional Transport Office (RTO) were instructed to deploy sufficient buses and e-autos, including services during late hours. Traffic Police Srinagar was asked to prepare a detailed traffic management plan to prevent congestion and ensure smooth movement of vehicles.

Garg also directed the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board to make advance arrangements for tents and other crowd-management facilities at major religious sites.

The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) was asked to undertake sanitation and cleanliness drives around Hazratbal Shrine and adjoining areas.

Joint inspection teams comprising officials from Food Safety and Legal Metrology departments were directed to monitor food quality, hygiene standards and prices in markets around shrines. The Divisional Commissioner called for strict action against traders found violating quality norms or overcharging consumers.

The Health Department was instructed to establish medical camps and deploy staff as per duty rosters, while Fire and Emergency Services was directed to position fire tenders at strategic locations for emergency response.

Deputy Commissioners briefed the meeting on district-wise arrangements, while religious representatives shared feedback on preparations being made for the observance.
