A delegation led by Taranjit Singh Toni from Suchetgarh highlighted the issue of a defunct borewell, stating that its non-functioning had affected lift irrigation schemes and created difficulties for farmers.

The delegation also sought desilting and restoration of irrigation channels to improve water availability for agricultural activities.

Rana directed the concerned officers to assess the issues on the ground and take necessary measures for restoration of the borewell and improvement of the affected lift irrigation schemes. He also stressed the need for timely desilting and maintenance of irrigation channels during the ongoing agricultural season.
