The minister said the hostel facility should be completed at the earliest to enable the school to undertake admissions and related examinations for the 2026-27 academic session. He stressed the need to avoid delays in creating infrastructure required for the smooth functioning of the institution.

Rana also reviewed the academic environment at the school and asked the staff to assist students in preparing for competitive examinations. He directed the school administration to organise seminars, debates and other co-curricular activities for students’ overall development.

Highlighting the role of Eklavya Model Residential Schools in providing education to tribal students, the minister called for coordination among departments to ensure timely completion of all facilities.

Later, Rana inspected the under-construction Irrigation Department office building at Bhera and reviewed the pace of work.

He directed the concerned authorities to accelerate construction and complete the project on a double-shift basis. The minister said the department requires a functional office building to improve service delivery and instructed officials to ensure the remaining work is completed at the earliest.

Rana also directed the executing agencies to maintain regular monitoring of ongoing projects, adhere to timelines and ensure quality standards during execution.
