SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir is likely to experience another spell of wet weather over the coming days, with light to moderate rain and thundershowers expected at many places and brief intense showers at isolated locations, according to the latest forecast.
From August 13 to 15, rain or thundershowers are likely at many places, with brief intense showers possible during the early morning, morning and late afternoon to evening hours.
Another spell is expected from August 16 to 19, when light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at many places. Heavy rain or intense showers are possible in a few districts, particularly during the early morning and afternoon hours.
The forecast indicates improvement thereafter, with light rain or thundershowers possible at scattered places from August 20 to 22.
The advisory has flagged the possibility of heavy rain and intense showers in a few districts of the Jammu division between August 16 and 19. One or two districts in the Kashmir division may also experience intense showers during the period.
Authorities and residents in vulnerable areas have been advised to remain cautious as intense rainfall could trigger flash floods, landslides and mudslides.
