BARAMULLA: Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperatives and Elections, Javid Ahmad Dar, on Saturday met several public delegations from north Kashmir and assured them that their grievances would be taken up with the concerned departments.
During the interactions, residents and representatives raised issues related to roads, civic amenities, infrastructure and other development requirements in their areas.
The minister said the concerns projected by the delegations would be examined on priority and pursued for early resolution. He reiterated the government’s commitment to equitable development and public service delivery across Jammu and Kashmir.
Later, Dar visited the shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Hamza Makhdoom (RA) at Tujjar Sharief in Sopore, where he offered prayers for peace, prosperity and the well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister highlighted the importance of preserving Kashmir’s Sufi heritage and said the region’s spiritual traditions continue to promote the values of peace, tolerance, brotherhood and communal harmony.
