JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma on Saturday asked party workers to ensure that the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign reaches every household across the Union Territory.
Addressing a series of organisational meetings at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, Sharma, along with BJP General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul, reviewed preparations for the campaign and other party programmes.
According to a party statement, senior leaders directed party functionaries to strengthen grassroots outreach across districts, constituencies, mandals, Shakti Kendras and booths to maximise public participation in the campaign.
Sharma said the campaign was aimed at encouraging people to honour the National Flag and remember the sacrifices made during India’s freedom struggle. He urged party workers to ensure wider participation in the programme and called for the organisation of Tiranga Yatras involving youth, women, ex-servicemen, social organisations and local residents.
He said the campaign should reach every village and ward across Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Koul highlighted the observance of Vibhajan Vibhishika Diwas, saying it serves as a reminder of the human suffering and displacement caused during Partition. He said remembering that period reinforces the importance of national unity and social harmony.
Among those present at the meetings were MPs Jugal Kishore Sharma and Ghulam Ali Khatana, former Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh, and BJP general secretaries Sanjita Dogra, Baldev Singh Billawaria and Gopal Mahajan.
