At a public interaction in Arampora, residents highlighted several pending development issues, including construction of a bridge over Nallah Shaliganga to connect Khansahib and Chadoora tehsils. They also sought better road connectivity, improved drinking water supply, strengthened power infrastructure and upgraded public amenities.

Rather assured the residents that their genuine demands would be addressed in a phased manner and that projects of public importance would be pursued with the concerned departments.

He said the proposed bridge over Shaliganga would improve connectivity between the two tehsils, facilitate transportation of agricultural produce, reduce travel time and benefit residents on both sides of the nallah.

The Speaker said the government was committed to balanced development across Jammu and Kashmir, with emphasis on improving infrastructure in rural and remote areas. He said efforts were underway to strengthen roads, healthcare, education, drinking water supply and power infrastructure.

Rather also urged people not to pay heed to rumours or misinformation and appealed for public cooperation in implementing development programmes. He said regular interaction with the public was essential for identifying grassroots issues and ensuring that development reflected local needs and aspirations.
