Srinagar: Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested three persons in connection with two separate burglary cases in Anantnag.
In a case of burglary at a house at Rohu Monghall, police during investigation, questioned one Sheraz Ahmad Goru alias Sharu, of Rabtal Gund, Roshan, Ganderbal. On his disclosure, five stolen gold coins worth approximately ₹6 lakh were recovered and seized and he was subsequently arrested, police spokesperson informed.
Investigating a case of burglary at Iqbalabad, Dialgam, police with the help of mobile tower dump data, CDRs and mobile location evidence, zeroed in on two suspects and apprehended them.
During questioning, they confessed to the crime, leading to the recovery of stolen gold ornaments and cash worth approximately ₹6 lakh. The accused were identified as Bashir Ahmad Sheikh, resident of New Colony, Frestabal, Pampore, and Nisar Ahmad Sheikh, resident of Nagbal, Zainapora, police said.
