URI: BJP General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul on Saturday chaired the party’s Working Committee meeting of the Uri constituency to review organisational activities and discuss measures to strengthen its grassroots presence.
The meeting, held at the NHPC Guest House in Uri, was attended by BJP J&K Secretary Mudasir Wani, Baramulla district president Gh. Hussain Dar, Uri constituency president Umar Khan and other party leaders and office-bearers.
Addressing the meeting, Koul stressed the need for strengthening the party organisation and intensifying outreach at the booth level. He urged party workers to maintain regular interaction with the public and strengthen coordination among organisational units to address people’s concerns effectively.
He said party workers should help ensure that the benefits of government welfare schemes reach eligible beneficiaries and emphasised the importance of public service, grievance redressal and sustained engagement with the people.
Koul also called on party functionaries to participate in digital training programmes to improve communication and organisational efficiency. He asked them to regularly organise public meetings, awareness campaigns and community outreach programmes to expand the party’s presence.
Speaking on the occasion, Mudasir Wani highlighted the importance of teamwork and effective implementation of organisational programmes, while Gh. Hussain Dar stressed close coordination between district and constituency units to improve organisational performance.
Umar Khan said the Uri constituency unit would continue to strengthen the party at the grassroots and remain accessible to the public by addressing their concerns through a service-oriented approach.
