The review meeting was chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof Nazir Ahmad Ganai and attended by faculty members from SKUAST-K and IIT Bombay.

The internship follows a memorandum of understanding between the two institutions for collaboration in sustainable agriculture, environmental management and rural development.

The inaugural batch comprises 14 students from different faculties. During the review, they presented updates on projects involving geospatial technologies, data analytics, digital agriculture and AI-enabled decision-support systems for agriculture and rural planning.

Prof Ganai urged the students to make the most of the opportunity and acquire technological expertise that could be applied to address the needs of farmers and rural communities in Jammu and Kashmir, the statement said.
