Srinagar: Director of MY Bharat, Jammu and Kashmir, Nitin Hangloo, on Wednesday called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and briefed him on the organisation’s youth empowerment initiatives, according to an official statement.
Accompanied by MY Bharat Resource Person Sushil Singh Charak, Hangloo apprised the Lieutenant Governor about programmes focused on volunteering, experiential learning, internships, leadership development and ongoing efforts to increase youth enrolment on the MY Bharat portal.
In separate meetings, Advocate Tabassum Rahim raised welfare issues concerning brick kiln owners in Budgam, while student rights activist and Gandhi King Foundation secretary Er. Ehtisham Khan discussed issues related to youth empowerment, sports promotion and greater youth participation in public welfare initiatives.
Director News, Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar, Qazi Salman also met the Lieutenant Governor and briefed him on Doordarshan’s awareness programmes on the Nasha Mukt J&K campaign and various government welfare schemes, the statement added.
