According to the EOW, the accused are Shuja Jeelani of Chanapora, Srinagar, Mohd Iqbal of Lal Nagar, Chanapora, Srinagar, Nisar Ahmad Wani of Malwari, Pulwama, and Riyaz Ahmad Shah of Midoora, Awantipora, Pulwama.

The case was registered following a complaint alleging that the four candidates, selected by the then Services Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) for various posts in the Health Department, had obtained their appointments on the basis of forged educational testimonials.

The investigation found that the educational documents submitted by the accused were forged and did not match the records furnished during the selection process. Following verification, their selections were cancelled.

According to the EOW, the investigation established that the accused allegedly secured government employment by using forged certificates, thereby cheating the authorities. The case will now proceed before the trial court.
