CIK attaches property of former KCCI president in 2020 case

Srinagar: The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Wednesday attached a property belonging to former Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) president Dr. Mubeen Ahmed Shah in Srinagar as part of an ongoing investigation into a case registered in 2020.

Official sources said the attached property comprises 12 marlas of land located at Buchwara in Srinagar. The attachment was carried out in connection with FIR No. 07/2020 registered at Police Station CIK after completion of the required legal formalities.

A CIK team executed the attachment proceedings in the presence of local revenue officials, who completed the necessary documentation on the spot.

Dr. Shah, an industrialist who served as president of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 2006 to 2008, has been residing in Malaysia with his family since late 2019.

Officials said the attachment forms part of the ongoing investigation and that further legal proceedings in the case will continue in accordance with law.
