SRINAGAR: Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperatives and Election Department, Javid Ahmad Dar, on Tuesday held a meeting with legislators at the Civil Secretariat here and discussed a range of developmental and public welfare issues concerning their constituencies.
Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Transport, Science and Technology, Information Technology, Youth Services and Sports, and ARI and Trainings, Satish Sharma, was also present.
The legislators who attended the meeting included Muzaffar Iqbal Khan, Hasnain Masoodi, Peerzada Feroze Ahmad Shah, Irshad Rasool Kar and Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Mir.
During the interaction, the legislators highlighted various developmental requirements and public issues in their constituencies. They raised demands related to strengthening rural infrastructure, improving public services, enhancing agricultural support systems and expediting the implementation of ongoing welfare and development projects.
Responding to the issues raised, Javid Dar assured the legislators that all concerns projected during the meeting would be examined and taken up with the concerned departments for appropriate action.
The Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to balanced and inclusive development across Jammu and Kashmir and said sustained engagement with elected representatives was essential for addressing public grievances and ensuring effective delivery of services at the grassroots level.
He said the government remains focused on accelerating developmental activities, strengthening institutional mechanisms and ensuring that welfare and development programmes reach all sections of society.
Dar also assured the legislators of full support and cooperation in addressing genuine public issues and fulfilling the developmental aspirations of people in their respective constituencies.
