SRINAGAR: Members of the Indian Wushu team preparing for the Asian Games, led by National Chief Coach Kuldeep Handoo, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha here on Sunday.
The team is scheduled to leave for China on June 23 to participate in the SCO Wushu Championship, which will be held in Hubei Province.
Following the championship, the team will undergo a one-month intensive training programme at Beijing Sport University as part of preparations for upcoming international competitions, including the Asian Games.
The Lieutenant Governor extended his best wishes to the athletes and coaching staff and urged them to perform to the best of their abilities, bring laurels to the country and make the nation proud on the international stage.
Among those present were Amit Pal, Aparna, Jyotsna, Ansa Chishti, Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh, Aryan, Suraj Yadav and team doctor Ehsaan.
