Deputy CM reviews Assembly building project, stresses timely completion

JAMMU: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Friday inspected the ongoing construction of the new Legislative Assembly building in Jammu and directed the concerned agencies to expedite work while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

During the inspection, the Deputy Chief Minister reviewed the progress achieved on the prestigious project and assessed various components of the construction work. He emphasized the importance of adhering to prescribed timelines and ensuring quality execution at every stage.

Choudhary directed the concerned officers and executing agencies to accelerate the pace of work so that the project is completed within the stipulated timeframe. He stressed that the new Legislative Assembly building is an important public infrastructure project and a symbol of democratic governance.

He said there should be no compromise on quality and called for regular monitoring of the project to ensure smooth and efficient execution of the works.

Later, the Deputy Chief Minister visited Bajalta in Jammu to offer condolences to former District Development Council (DDC) member Shameema Begum on the demise of her husband.

He expressed sympathy with the bereaved family, prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and wished them strength and courage to bear the loss.

Several officers, engineers and local representatives accompanied the Deputy Chief Minister during the visit.
