He said the Centre would function as a comprehensive one-stop digital hub, enabling citizens to access a variety of government schemes and transport-related services under one roof in a transparent, efficient and hassle-free manner.

Garg observed that such initiatives play a vital role in strengthening e-governance and ensuring greater convenience for the public by reducing procedural difficulties and improving service accessibility.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo said the Centre of Excellence for e-Governance has been envisioned as a model facility for integrated public service delivery and digital empowerment of citizens. He noted that the facility assumes added significance as it has been established at the Regional Transport Office, which witnesses a large public footfall on a daily basis.

Earlier, the District Manager, CSC Srinagar, briefed the visiting officers about the services being provided through the Centre. He informed that dedicated counters have been established for Aadhaar-related services, Government-to-Citizen (G2C) services, transport-related services, banking services and insurance services.
