Army’s northern command celebrates 55th Raising Day

Jammu: Army’s Northern Command on Wednesday celebrated its 55th Raising Day at its headquarters in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district, with its commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma exhorting troops to continue serving the nation.

“Lt Gen Sharma and all ranks of Northern Command extend heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all ranks, veterans, civilians and families of Northern Command on the occasion of the Command’s 55th Raising Day,” the Army said in a post on X.

It said the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command, laid a wreath at the Dhruva War Memorial, paying homage to the bravehearts who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.

“He underscored the constructive contribution of each individual associated with the formation to achieve the highest degree of operational preparedness and exhorted them to continue their passion in the service of the nation,” the Northern Command said in its post.
