Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar also called on Modi and had a “constructive discussion” on the state’s development priorities.

This was Shivakumar’s first meeting with the prime minister after taking charge as the chief minister on June 3.

“Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri @DKShivakumar met Prime Minister

@narendramodi,” the PMO said in a post on X.

Shivakumar said he had a “constructive discussion” with Modi on Karnataka’s development priorities, including infrastructure, investment, urban mobility, irrigation, innovation, and welfare initiatives that directly impact the lives of people.

“Met Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi avaru in New Delhi today for the first time after assuming office as the Chief Minister of Karnataka,” he said in a post on X.

The chief minister said Karnataka has always been a key contributor to India’s growth story and reiterated the state government’s commitment to further strengthening that role.

“I look forward to working closely with the Union Government in the spirit of cooperative federalism to accelerate development, attract greater opportunities, and fulfil the aspirations of the people of Karnataka. Together, we can build a stronger Karnataka and contribute meaningfully to a stronger India,” he said.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also called on the PM.

“Chief Minister of Telangana, Shri @revanth_anumula met Prime Minister  @narendramodi,” the PMO said in a post on X.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah discussed important issues, including restoration of statehood, with Modi.

“Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri @OmarAbdullah met Prime Minister @narendramodi,” the PMO said.

After the meeting, Abdullah said on X that he congratulated the PM on completing 12 “uninterrupted years in office”.

“Called on Hon’ble PM @narendramodi ji to discuss issues of importance to J&K, including early return of Statehood, the state of the economy, pace of development and promotion of tourism. I congratulated him for the landmark of completing 12 uninterrupted years in office,” the CM said.
