Uri:Two Indian Army personnel lost their lives after sustaining critical injuries in an accidental blast near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Kamalkote sector of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district late Tuesday evening.
Official sources said the soldiers were grievously injured in the explosion while on duty in the forward area along the LoC. They were immediately evacuated and shifted to the Army’s 92 Base Hospital at Badamibagh, Srinagar, for advanced treatment. Despite the efforts of medical teams, both personnel later succumbed to their injuries.
The deceased have been identified as Chavan Vikram Balakrishna, a resident of Airoli in Maharashtra, and Arjun Jadhav Rajindra, a resident of Shahpur area of Karad tehsil in Maharashtra’s Satara district.
