Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday called for collective efforts to protect the environment, saying it is vital for a healthier planet for future generations.

“On World Environment Day, let’s rededicate ourselves to the conservation of Mother Earth and preservation of nature’s delicate balance. Our collective efforts towards environmental protection are vital for the well-being of humanity and a healthier planet for future generations,” Sinha said in his message on the World Environment Day.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in his message said his government is committed to environmental conservation, and called upon every citizen to join the collective mission.

“On World Environment Day, the chief minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development,” the chief minister’s office said in a post on X.
