BLUSHING BRIDE

Our country's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, had a deep personal affinity for Kashmir and often described it as a "beautiful bride." He famously referred to Srinagar's Dal Lake as a "blushing bride" when the setting sun cast its golden hues across the waters.
