Srinagar: Several delegations and political representatives called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and discussed a range of public and social issues.
Yash Parimoo, BJP Youth President Srinagar, called on the Lieutenant Governor. He was accompanied by Shri Liyaqat Ali, President, and Sadiya Yaseen Shah, General Secretary of Human Rights Protection Organization (HRPO) Satyamev Jayate, J&K UT.
During the interaction, the delegation appreciated the UT administration for the success of the Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan, highlighting its role in promoting a drug-free society and raising awareness among youth about the harmful effects of substance abuse.
Meanwhile, Rafi Ahmad Mir, former Member of the Legislative Assembly and General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, also called on the Lieutenant Governor and discussed matters of public importance.
Subsequently, a delegation of the Baba Barfani Foundation led by its Vice Chairman, Roshan Hussain, met the Lieutenant Governor and apprised him of issues concerning the organization and its activities.
The Lieutenant Governor assured the visiting delegations of appropriate consideration of the matters raised during the meetings.
