The newly constructed bridge is expected to improve connectivity, facilitate smoother traffic movement and enhance convenience for residents of Greater Kailash and adjoining areas. The project has been executed to improve accessibility and cater to the increasing transportation requirements of the locality.

Addressing the gathering, Surinder Choudhary said the government is working through a well-coordinated and people-centric development framework aimed at delivering inclusive growth and improved public services.

“Strengthening basic infrastructure remains one of the government’s key priorities as it directly impacts the quality of life of citizens and contributes to socio-economic development,” he said.

The Deputy Chief Minister added that the government is committed to creating durable and modern infrastructure that delivers tangible benefits to the public.

“Projects such as this bridge not only improve connectivity but also contribute significantly to the overall development of the region,” he said.

He further highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to upgrade road networks, bridges and other essential public infrastructure to meet the aspirations of the people and support comprehensive development across Jammu and Kashmir.

Senior officers of the Roads and Buildings Department, including the Chief Engineer, were present on the occasion and briefed the Deputy Chief Minister on the technical aspects of the bridge project as well as other ongoing infrastructure works in the area.

Local residents expressed satisfaction over the completion of the bridge and appreciated the government’s efforts towards improving civic infrastructure, connectivity and public convenience.
