Congratulating the students on their achievements, Satish Sharma said educational institutions are not only centres of academic excellence but also spaces where character, leadership and values are shaped.

He stressed that success lies not merely in awards but in values such as perseverance, integrity and hard work.

Addressing students, the Minister urged the youth to adopt healthy and nutritious food habits and expressed concern over the increasing consumption of processed and unhealthy food.

“A strong nation is built on healthy citizens. The choices young people make today regarding health and lifestyle will determine the future strength of our society,” he said.

Satish Sharma also highlighted the role of Scouts, Guides and youth development initiatives in shaping disciplined and responsible citizens.

Expressing concern over substance abuse, the Minister strongly advocated sports and youth engagement as effective tools to combat the drug menace.

“Sports grounds, classrooms and creative spaces must become centres of aspiration for our youth. A child engaged in sports learns resilience, determination and the value of hard work,” he remarked.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to expanding opportunities for youth participation in sports and constructive activities across Jammu and Kashmir.

The event also featured cultural performances and participation from students, teachers and parents.
