Srinagar: Akramullah Tak on Monday reviewed arrangements being put in place for the arrival of Hujjaj, scheduled to commence from June 2 at Srinagar Airport.
During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted regarding reception arrangements for pilgrims, issuance of passes to officers, deployment of manpower for unloading and sorting of luggage, smooth movement of pilgrims and attendants, parking facilities and distribution of ZamZam water.
The Additional Commissioner stressed the need for close coordination among all concerned agencies, including airlines, the Airport Authority, Central Industrial Security Force, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, the Air Force and Central Reserve Police Force to ensure smooth and hassle-free Hajj arrival operations at Srinagar Airport.
He directed all concerned departments and agencies to extend full cooperation and provide all necessary assistance for the convenience and comfort of the returning pilgrims.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioners of Srinagar and Budgam, besides officers from the Airport Authority, Police, Health, R&B and the Hajj Office.
