Jammu: Advisor to Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani on Friday conducted a public outreach programme at the RAABITA office on Canal Road Jammu under the government’s RAABITA initiative.
A large number of public delegations and individuals from across Jammu division met the advisor and projected various issues seeking speedy redressal.
During interactions with the delegations, the advisor issued on-the-spot directions to concerned officers for priority resolution of grievances and asked delegation members to follow up with departments for timely disposal of their issues.
Among the delegations that met the advisor was a team from GCC Gurha Slathia, which raised issues related to area development and social welfare.
A deputation from the Bathindi Welfare Board sought resolution of developmental issues concerning the Bathindi area, while a delegation led by the chairman of Citizens Cooperative Bank Limited Jammu highlighted matters related to the functioning of the bank.
A deputation of retired migrant employees of the Revenue Department sought intervention for treating their service period as on-duty and release of pending leave encashment benefits.
A delegation from Panthal discussed issues related to Kendriya Vidyalaya land and developmental requirements of the institution.
JKPSC and JKSSB aspirants also met the advisor and highlighted grievances related to recruitment delays and examination processes affecting candidates across Jammu and Kashmir.
Several individuals from Kathua also met the advisor during the outreach programme.
Nasir Aslam Wani said the RAABITA initiative has been launched to strengthen direct public interaction with the government and ensure prompt grievance redressal.
He directed concerned officers to follow up on the instructions issued during the programme and ensure time-bound disposal of public issues.
The outreach programme was attended by Special Secretary RAABITA Sohail Noor Shah, Additional Secretary RAABITA Aziz Ahmad, Under Secretary RAABITA Anu Sharma and other officials.
