During the inspection, Dr Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat assessed the progress of digitisation and interacted with Patwaris and deputed staff regarding the pace and quality of work being carried out.

He also physically examined Jamabandi records and reviewed the functioning of the Mutation Module on the PM Gati Shakti portal, including the online flow of information through maker, verifier/checker and approver login IDs.

The Deputy Commissioner directed officials to upload and approve the remaining backlog mutations within the next four to five days and asked them to continue the work with the same dedication and efficiency.

He stressed the need for transparency and accuracy in the digitisation process to ensure reliability, consistency and quality of digitised land records for public convenience and efficient service delivery.

Appreciating the efforts of the digitisation staff, the DC directed that high-speed internet connectivity, logistics and other necessary facilities be provided to them without interruption so that the work is completed smoothly.

Officials informed the Deputy Commissioner that by May 16, around 91 per cent of backlog mutations had been initiated, 90 per cent verified and 89 per cent approved in the district.

Concluding the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner said digitisation of revenue records is an important reform and asked the deputed staff to work in coordination to achieve the targets within the stipulated timeline.
