Girls Cricket Tournament concludes at Chawalgam Ground in Kulgam

Kulgam: A Girls Cricket Tournament organised under the banner of the “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan” concluded on Tuesday at Chawalgam Sports Ground with enthusiastic participation from various teams across the district.

The final match was played between GDC Kulgam and Kulgam Warriors, in which Kulgam Warriors registered a convincing 66-run victory after an impressive all-round performance.

Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Shahzad Alam presided over the concluding ceremony and distributed trophies, medals and appreciation awards among the winning, runner-up and participating teams.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the organisers and lauded the active participation of girls in sports activities.

He said such events provide a constructive platform for youth, promote sports culture and help spread awareness against drug abuse under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tehsildar Kulgam, officers from various departments and sports enthusiasts were also present during the concluding ceremony.
