Deputy CM reviews development projects during Nowshera tour

Rajouri: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Monday conducted an extensive tour of the Nowshera constituency in Rajouri district to review the progress of ongoing developmental projects and assess public service delivery across various sectors.

During the visit, the Deputy Chief Minister inspected healthcare, road connectivity, bridge construction and sports infrastructure projects while stressing the need for quality execution and timely completion of works.

At Sub-District Hospital Sunderbani, Choudhary reviewed healthcare facilities, patient care services and the overall functioning of the hospital. He directed officials to ensure efficient healthcare delivery and adequate medical facilities for the public.

He also inspected ongoing works at the PWD (R&B) Guest House Kangri and emphasised maintaining quality standards while completing the project within the stipulated timeframe.

At Siot Morh, the Deputy Chief Minister reviewed the progress of the Siot–Kalakote PMGSY road project and instructed executing agencies to expedite the work to improve connectivity for local residents.

Later, he visited the under-construction MCH Hospital at Lamberi and assessed the pace of work on the project. He also reviewed developmental works on Dhera Road and reiterated the importance of timely completion to enhance public convenience.

During his inspection of the Bagnoti Nallah Bridge project, Choudhary directed officers to speed up construction while ensuring durability and adherence to safety standards.

The Deputy Chief Minister also visited the I&FC Guest House Rajal and the PWD (R&B) Guest House Nowshera, where he reviewed several ongoing developmental initiatives and reiterated the government’s commitment towards timely implementation of public welfare and infrastructure projects.

At the Sports Stadium Nowshera, he inspected ongoing development works and said the government was focused on creating better sports infrastructure to promote youth participation and nurture sporting talent across regions.

He later visited Sub-District Hospital Nowshera and directed authorities to improve patient care, medical infrastructure and healthcare services.

The Deputy Chief Minister also inspected the bridge project at Masiti Mohalla Nonial and stressed the need for its timely completion to facilitate better connectivity for local residents.

Senior officers accompanying him during the tour included the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers of various departments, Block Medical Officers and other concerned officials.
