Police holds felicitation ceremony for DGP Medal Awardees in Srinagar

DIG CKR, SSP Srinagar honour officers and officials for exemplary service and dedication

SRINAGAR: Srinagar Police on Sunday organised a felicitation ceremony at the District Police Lines Srinagar to honour police officers and officials who were awarded the prestigious DGP Medal for their exemplary and outstanding service in Jammu and Kashmir Police.

The ceremony was presided over by DIG Central Kashmir Range (CKR) Srinagar Rajiv Pandey along with SSP Srinagar Dr. G. V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, who presented DGP Medals and Commendation Certificates to the awardees in recognition of their outstanding contribution, dedication and exemplary performance during the years 2024 and 2025.

The officers and officials who were felicitated included SP Tanweer Ahmad Dar, DySP Mohmad Yesser Parrey, DySP Shakir Hassan, DySP Vikram Nag, DySP Dheeraj Kumar, Inspector Mohd Iqbal Sheikh, Inspector Sheikh Wakeel, Inspector Reyaz Ahmad Khan, ASI Vikram Kumar Raina, ASI Mohd Yaseen, Head Constable Arif Hussain, Selection Grade Constable Vijay Chib, Selection Grade Constable Vinod Kumar, Selection Grade Constable Sanjeev Singh, Selection Grade Constable Showkat Ahmad Dar, Selection Grade Constable Rashpal Singh, Selection Grade Constable Sarvjeet Singh, Selection Grade Constable Nisar Ahmad, Selection Grade Constable Mohd Fareed, Selection Grade Constable Mudasir Ahmad, Selection Grade Constable Shabir Ahmad, Selection Grade Constable Zahoor Ahmad, Selection Grade Constable Sheikh Aadil Azad, Constable Mukhtar Ahmad, Constable Tanveer Ahmad and Constable Yawar Majid.

Speaking on the occasion, DIG CKR Srinagar congratulated the medal recipients and appreciated the courage, commitment and valour displayed by the officers and officials while performing their duties in challenging circumstances.

He emphasised the need for continued dedication, professionalism and public-oriented policing and encouraged them to continue working with the same zeal and commitment in the service of the people.

SSP Srinagar also lauded the awardees for their exceptional service and devotion to duty, stating that such recognitions serve as a source of inspiration and motivation for the entire police force.

The ceremony concluded with appreciation for the efforts and sacrifices rendered by the awardees in maintaining peace, law and public safety in Srinagar district.
