BARAMULLA: A joint residential house belonging to two brothers was reduced to ashes in a massive fire incident at Gogaldara area of Tangmarg on Thursday, leaving the affected family homeless.
According to reports, the fire broke out suddenly in the house of Abdul Sattar Tantray and Ghulam Muhammad Tantray, sons of Wali Mohammad Tantray, causing extensive damage to the structure.
Soon after receiving information about the incident, fire and emergency services personnel from Khag rushed to the spot and launched efforts to control the blaze. However, by the time the fire was brought under control, the residential house had already been completely gutted.
Locals said the fire spread rapidly from all sides of the house, making it difficult to save the structure and household belongings.
The affected family has reportedly been left under the open sky after losing their home in the incident.
Residents of the area have appealed to the tehsil and district administration to provide immediate relief and rehabilitation assistance to the affected family.
